WFH Essentials
Working from home after all this time means I’ve come up with a pretty good list of my office must-haves.
If you remember this post here, I talked about my 90 Day Game Plan essentials… but I wanted to share a few more things tha make WFH as seamless as possible! These are things that help keep me focused AND organized.
Keep scrolling for my 6 WFH Essentials!
1. Water Bottle
Hydration is KEY. It’s so easy to get sucked into work and forget to drink water, especially if you find yourself drinking a lot of caffeine. So having a water bottle (extra points if it’s chic!) on your desk is a great reminder to stay hydrated!
2. White Board
A white board was actually one of the first things I ever bought for my business, 10 years ago! I love being able to see everything l laid out -- it really helps for daily tasks as well as planning for big picture things! And I won't lie, there's something about those markers that's so satisfying.
So you’ve got your laptop charger, your phone charger, maybe you’ve got some external harddrives, you need to charge your AirPods… it’s not long before your desk is covered in a tangle of cords! This little guy clips onto your desk and keeps everything organized, spaced out, and easy to find. Plus, it keeps your important chargers from falling off your desk, too!
I stare at my screens all day. If it’s not my computer, it’s my phone! Blue light glasses help my eyes from getting strained and giving me a headache by the end of the day. I really like these! In the meantime, make sure you’re always taking screenbreaks. Even if it’s just a quick 5 minute breather, it will really help you in the long run! The ones that I have are sold out, but here's a similar pair!
5. Electronic Stands
This is another office must-have that I’ve talked about before, but if you WFH then you’ve got to have it! Alaptop stand and/or a phone stand is so great for so many things -- for zoom calls and meetings, it helps get your laptop off your desk and propped up to a flattering angle. If you spend a lot of time on emails, then having your laptop propped up with a bluetooth keyboard will also do WONDERS for your neck and posture!
6. AirPods
Speaking of an annoying tangle of cords, cordless headphones are the best! I don't even remember life before them. From taking calls, going on walks, listening to a podcast, traveling... they're so easy to use and the sound is amazing!
